OUR FARMERS
If you take the single-track coastal road a few kilometres out of the main town of Kirakira (with its two guest houses and tiny hospital) you will discover Lucy’s cocoa farm. Here, Lucy and her all-female team grow their cocoa then combine their harvest with those of other female cocoa farmers. Lucy then takes everyone’s cocoa up to Kirakira and loads it on a boat directly from the beach. Then it is on to the main island of Guadalcanal, where she can get an internet signal and let us know that her cocoa is ready to collect.
